In a nutshell, here is the progression of shapes I have been working with for our film strip animation project. I was given the eye ball shape and I chose the wave-like shapes. At first glance you would think I would never be able to morph these shapes into one another (and sometimes when I practice them I can't haha), but in a weird way I make it work. I have been practicing my shapes alot but I'm still not sold that the transitions will look good projected. I guess it's just something I will have to try and hope for the best!
